Audi A5 featured in Treffpunkt

You’ve seen this car on my blog before, but I’m finally able, and pretty proud, to post the full set from the shoot last September. I was sitting on these until they were published in Treffpunkt Magazine this week. (Ok, so I  might have posted them at a photography site last year to get some feedback on them, but don’t tell anyone… ) As before, the car is a Caractere kitted Audi A5 3.0 Tdi S-line. I think the owner checked all the options on the list and then some.  With the Caractere kit and rolling on a set of staggered 20″  Petrol Traviata rims the result is awesome!

Treffpunkt is a quarterly magazine published by VW-Audi Club Norwegen and distributed to around 6000 members of the club. Treffpunkt has recently received a big change layout-wise, and I’m actually stoked about getting these images in the first issue with the new layout. Mag looks really professional now! Even made the cover, yay! Make sure to visit Red Rabbits, the design company behind the new layout to see some of their other awesome stuff!

But I digress, back to the shoot…

I’m usually not to happy about my own work, but these I like. Sure, there is a ton of stuff that can be improved, but I really feel they work well together as a set, and the location suits the car.  Seeing them on print in the 4 page article in Treffpunkt made me like them even more, even though they had to be cropped a bit to suit the layout. I might even go as far as to say they are my best work to date…

Also, I’ve gotta give a huge thanks to Andreas, the owner who was extremely patient and put up with all my directions and swearing during the shoot. Here’s a bonus shot just for you!

Calendar again…

Did some product photography today and while I had the gear out I snapped a couple of pics of a calendar a German Scirocco forum published late last year.  The owner of the white Scirrocco I’ve posted shots of here before had purposed some of my shots to be in the calendar and they were accepted.

Bottom two shots are mine. Kinda cool!

Stanceworks – Canibeat

Being both a car guy and a photographer, I spend quite some time browsing the web for inspiration both for my cars and for my photography. One of the places I make sure to stop by as often as possible is Stanceworks. The quality of both the cars they feature, and the photography there is amazing. And to my surprise they found my work good enough to grace their pages on a couple of occasions :) Head on over there to check out some great stanced cars and awesome photography!

Small Changes

Unless you’ve had this page bookmarked or followed a link from either my flickr of facebook-page, you’ve had to type in http://blog.naess.net to get to my blog. If you tried to type the more intuitive www.naess.net, you’ve been redirected to my (rather bad) portfolio page. Not liking the layout there, I’ve been bothered by seeing redirects from there to the blog. I’ve had ambitions to upgrade the portfolio page for ages, but never gotten around to it. Seeing as I usually post new stuff on the blog first, and to make things easier, I changed it so www.naess.net now redirects to the blog.

While I was at it, I moved the portfolio to http://portfolio.naess.net and added a couple of pictures for good measure. And I promise I’l change the portfolio page somewhere down the road.

One of the pictures I added there is from a recent shoot with a Audi A4 Allroad for Treffpunkt Magazine. Involving snow, a slammed Audi A5 tracking car and a speeding ticket, I’ll tell you all about that when the article is out in a week or two. Stay Tuned!
